The mystery of the Holy Mass lies solely in the Eucharist, the Eucharist being a commemoration of the Last Supper event, writes Joachim Anakwenze.
At the Last Supper, Jesus as the Living Bread presented himself to his apostles saying, “This is my body” and as the lamb of sacrifice presented himself the same way saying: “This is my blood.”
He reminds us of the Jewish Passover feast which recalls the Passover by the blood of the sacrificial lamb marking the doorposts of Israelites.… Read more

KOSH DEANERY CELEBRATES THEIR HARVEST

The Kosh deanery, being the fourth and last deanery in the 2017 Annual Deanery Harvest Day Celebration, wrapped up the Harvest Days on the 26th of November, 2017,being the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe. The Ditsobotla Deanery, under the care of Rev Fr Jeff Hollanders OMI, was the third Deanery in line for the 2017 Annual Deanery Harvest Day Celebration in the Diocese of Klerksdorp. The Harvest was held in Delareyville on the 19th of November, 2017 with the mass officiated by the Bishop of the Diocese. The 2017 Harvest Day Deanery celebrations of the Diocese of Klerksdorp started on the 5th of November, 2017, with Wolmaranstad deanery being the first deanery to kick off the year’s harvest. CARITAS OPEN IN KLERKSDORP DIOCESE

Caritas is finally here in our diocese. The Diocese of Klerksdorp officially opened the Caritas office on the 3rd of November, 2017. The office is situated in the Cathedral of Christ the Redeemer, Klerksdorp. The Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Victor Phalana was there to bless the Caritas office and declare it open.
