On this feast day Of St. Jerome, the women of the diocese gathered for their annual diocesan Womens’ Forum Mass with His Lordship, Bishop Victor Hlolo Phalana. The venue for the event was St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Jouberton. During the mass, the women were reminded of their commitment to the diocese. In his homily, the Bishop pointed out to the women of the diocese that Mary of Bethany offered her presence to Jesus, before giving him the present of anointing his feet with the costly ointment. Our Presence and our giving are, therefore, both important in our journey of faith, and we are meant to be a sweet-smelling ointment and incense before the throne of God. It was indeed a wonderful celebration with the diocese and for the diocese.
