The 2017 Harvest Day Deanery celebrations of the Diocese of Klerksdorp started on the 5th of November, 2017, with Wolmaranstad deanery being the first deanery to kick off the year’s harvest. The Wolmaranstad Deanery of Klerksdorp Diocese gathered at the Makwassie Stadium to celebrate their Annual Harvest Day Collection. The different parishes under the deanery covering towns and locations like Bloemhof, Christiana, Makwassie, Schweizer-Reneke, and Witpoort were fully represented. The Bishop of the Diocese, Bishop Victor Phalana was there as the chief celebrant of the Harvest Mass. The people came out in large numbers to represent their various parishes. After the Harvest, the Bishop thanked them for their immense contributions towards the development and progress of the diocese.
